Private itineraries with your own Egyptologist, five-star stays and a Nile cruise, planned around your dates by a team that replies personally within five hours.
Egypt is one of the few destinations where the quality of the trip depends almost entirely on how it is arranged. The same Giza Plateau can be a crowded two hours or a quiet morning with an Egyptologist who knows exactly where to stand. Our Egypt tours from the USA are built for the second kind of trip.
Every journey is private: your own guide, your own vehicle, and hotels chosen for their location and character, from the Kempinski Nile Hotel in Garden City, Cairo, to a traditional dahabiya sailing the Nile. You set the pace and we handle everything else.
Below are the itineraries American travelers ask about most. Each one can be adjusted, extended, or combined with a Nile cruise.

EgyptAir flies non-stop from New York JFK to Cairo in about ten hours, and has scheduled non-stop service from Los Angeles and Chicago as well. Check the airline for the current timetable. From other American cities you will usually connect through Europe or a Gulf hub.
Most flights land in Cairo in the morning or early afternoon. Our itineraries open with a relaxed first day, and a private transfer meets you at the airport, so jet lag is never the first thing on the schedule.
International flights are not part of our prices, which leaves you free to use the airline, cabin or points you prefer.
US citizens need a visa for Egypt. You can apply online for an eVisa at the official portal, visa2egypt.gov.eg, or obtain a visa on arrival at Cairo airport. Passports should be valid for at least six months.
Visa fees and procedures change, so always confirm them on the official site before you travel. If you would like a hand with the process, just ask and we will walk you through it.
October to April is the comfortable season. Winter days in Luxor and Aswan are warm and dry, and a Nile cruise at that time of year is at its best. From June to August the south is very hot, so sightseeing moves to early mornings.
One date stands out: a total solar eclipse crosses Luxor on 2 August 2027, with more than six minutes of totality. Hotels and cruise cabins for that week are limited. See our solar eclipse journeys if you want to be there.
A private tour means no fixed group schedule. You can start early, stay longer at the temple that moves you, and skip what does not. Your Egyptologist adapts the day to you, and our team stays in touch on WhatsApp from your first message until you fly home.
Many American guests extend with a five-day journey to Jordan, covering Petra, Wadi Rum and the Dead Sea. Ask us and we will build it into one itinerary.
