The Luxor East and West Bank Tour covers both sides of ancient Thebes in a single, well-planned day, with lunch by the Nile in between.
You begin on the West Bank, the side of the dead, while the morning is still cool. In the Valley of the Kings you enter three royal tombs carved deep into the rock, their walls still bright with the texts that guided the pharaohs to the afterlife. Next comes the terraced Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari, and a stop at the Colossi of Memnon.
After lunch you cross to the East Bank, the side of the living. At Karnak your Egyptologist leads you through the Great Hypostyle Hall and its 134 columns, then on to Luxor Temple, linked to Karnak by the restored Avenue of Sphinxes.
West Bank Tombs & East Bank Temples
Your Egyptologist meets you at your hotel and crosses to the West Bank. Visit three tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch at a restaurant overlooking the Nile, return to the East Bank for Karnak Temple and its Great Hypostyle Hall, then Luxor Temple and the Avenue of Sphinxes before your driver takes you back to your hotel.

Can we see Tutankhamun's tomb?
Yes. Tutankhamun's tomb needs its own ticket, which we can add when you book.
Is it too much for one day?
It is a full day, but well paced, with the West Bank in the cool morning and a long lunch before the East Bank.
