From up there, Elephantine Island, the Aga Khan Mausoleum on its hilltop, and the painted houses of the Nubian villages along the riverbank are all visible at once, along with feluccas that look like paper boats on the water far below.

Lifting off around sunrise, the flight climbs to roughly 1,000–1,500 feet, giving open views over the Nile, Elephantine Island, the Aga Khan Mausoleum, and the Nubian villages along the riverbank, with the desert meeting the cultivated valley in sharp contrast below.
