Terms & Conditions
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions form a binding agreement between iLuxury Egypt and any traveler who submits a payment, confirms a booking, or otherwise engages our services. By paying a deposit, confirming an itinerary, or participating in a trip we have arranged, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms.
If you are booking on behalf of other travelers, you confirm that you have their authority to accept these Terms on their behalf, and it is your responsibility to ensure they are aware of and have read this agreement.
Booking and Payment
A booking is confirmed only once we have received the required deposit and issued written confirmation to you. To secure your itinerary, we require a deposit of the total trip cost, with the remaining balance due ahead of your travel dates. Exact deposit amounts and balance due dates will be confirmed in writing at the time of booking and will appear on your invoice.
We accept payment by credit card and bank transfer. Card payments are processed through a secure, encrypted payment gateway. We do not store your full card details once a transaction is complete.
If full payment is not received by the agreed due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and to apply the cancellation charges set out below.
Pricing
Prices quoted are based on costs known to us at the time your itinerary is issued, including hotel rates, guide and driver fees, and applicable taxes. Prices may be adjusted before departure due to circumstances outside our reasonable control, including currency fluctuations, fuel surcharges, government taxes, or supplier price increases. Where such an adjustment is necessary, we will communicate it to you in writing before requesting any additional payment.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellations must be submitted to us in writing. Once we receive your written cancellation notice, the following charges apply as a percentage of your total trip cost, based on how close to your travel date the cancellation is received.
More than 60 days before travel, a portion of your deposit is retained as a cancellation fee, with the remainder refunded.
Between 59 and 30 days before travel, a moderate percentage of the total trip cost is retained, reflecting supplier commitments already made on your behalf.
Between 29 and 15 days before travel, a higher percentage of the total trip cost is retained.
Within 14 days of travel, the full trip cost is generally non-refundable, as hotels, cruises, guides, and permits have already been confirmed and paid on your behalf.
Refunds, where applicable, are returned using the original payment method and may take several business days to appear in your account depending on your financial institution. Bank transfer fees and any charges applied by airlines or third-party suppliers are the responsibility of the traveler and are not covered by iLuxury Egypt.
Cancellation terms may vary for group bookings, custom multi-country itineraries, or trips involving non-refundable third-party bookings such as domestic flights, which will be noted separately in your written itinerary.
Itinerary Changes
We make every effort to deliver your itinerary exactly as confirmed. However, we reserve the right to make reasonable changes to accommodations, transportation, or the order of visits where necessary due to operational requirements, site closures, weather, or safety considerations. Where such changes occur, we will always aim to substitute a comparable or superior alternative and will inform you as soon as reasonably possible.
Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for any delay, change, or cancellation resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather, epidemics or pandemics, war, civil unrest, terrorism, government travel restrictions, airspace closures, or official travel advisories issued for Egypt.
In the event of a force majeure situation, we will work with you in good faith to reschedule your trip or issue a travel credit toward a future booking wherever possible. Refunds in such circumstances are limited to amounts we are able to recover from our suppliers, as many payments to hotels, cruise operators, and permit authorities are made in advance and may not be recoverable.
Travel Documents and Requirements
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all documents required for your trip, including a valid passport, any necessary visas, and recommended vaccinations. Passports should generally be valid for at least six months beyond your return date. We are happy to advise on general requirements, but we are not responsible for denied entry, denied boarding, or any loss resulting from incomplete or invalid travel documentation.
Third-Party Suppliers
To deliver your trip, we work with independent third-party suppliers, including hotels, Nile cruise operators, drivers, and licensed Egyptologist guides. These suppliers operate independently and are responsible for the services they provide. While we carefully select and vet every partner in our collection, we are not liable for acts, omissions, delays, or operational decisions made directly by these independent suppliers.
Special Requests
If you have a special request, such as a dietary requirement, accessibility need, or a request tied to a specific occasion, please let us know at the time of booking. We will do our best to communicate your request to the relevant supplier and accommodate it wherever possible. However, special requests cannot be guaranteed, and their fulfillment does not form a condition of your booking.
Health, Safety and Assumption of Risk
Travel in Egypt, as in any destination, carries inherent risks that may differ from those in your home country, including exposure to heat, travel to remote sites, and reliance on local infrastructure and medical facilities. By traveling with us, you acknowledge these risks and confirm that you are voluntarily undertaking your trip with an understanding of them.
We strongly recommend that all travelers arrange comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip interruption, and cancellation, valid for the full duration of your trip. Any medical or emergency costs incurred during your trip are your sole responsibility.
Limitation of Liability
Our total liability to you in connection with any booking is limited to the amount you have paid us for that booking. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including loss of enjoyment or travel inconvenience, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.
Photography and Marketing
From time to time, we may take photographs or video during your trip for use in our marketing materials, website, or social media, with your knowledge and consent given at the time. If you prefer that your images not be used for any promotional purpose, please let us know at the start of your trip and we will honor your preference.
Chargebacks
If you have a question or concern about a charge related to your booking, we ask that you contact us directly first, so that we can work with you to resolve the matter. We reserve the right to dispute any chargeback that we believe is improper, including chargebacks related to our published cancellation policy or services that have already been delivered. Where a chargeback is disputed and resolved in our favor, you may be responsible for any related administrative costs.
Complaints
If an issue arises during your trip, please inform your guide, driver, or our support team immediately so we can address it in real time wherever possible. If the matter remains unresolved after your trip, please contact us in writing within a reasonable time after your return so we can review and respond to your concern.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. Any disputes arising from this agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Egypt.
Acceptance
By submitting a deposit or full payment for your trip, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.
