This Grand Egyptian Museum Pyramids Tour joins Egypt's oldest wonder with its newest museum, two sites that now stand only minutes apart on the edge of Giza.
The morning belongs to the plateau. Your Egyptologist leads you around the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, then down to the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre, explaining how these tombs were planned, built and protected.
After lunch with a view of the pyramids, you enter the Grand Egyptian Museum. You climb the Grand Staircase past colossal royal statues and stand before Ramesses II in the Grand Hall. The day ends in the Tutankhamun galleries, where the boy king's treasures are shown together for the first time, from the golden mask to his chariots and shrines.
Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum
Your Egyptologist meets you at your hotel and drives you to the Giza Plateau. Walk around the Great Pyramid of Khufu and the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure, then visit the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre. Lunch is served at a restaurant facing the pyramids. In the afternoon, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum: the Grand Staircase, the colossal statue of Ramesses II and the complete Tutankhamun collection. Return to your hotel in the early evening.
