The Luxor to Cairo Day Trip is for travellers based in Luxor who do not want to leave Egypt without seeing the Pyramids.
An early domestic flight takes about an hour, and your Egyptologist meets you at Cairo Airport. You drive to the Giza Plateau for the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of Khafre.
After lunch with a view of the pyramids, you visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, a few minutes away. Climb the Grand Staircase lined with royal statues and see Tutankhamun's complete collection, shown together for the first time, from the golden mask to his chariots. In the evening, you fly back to Luxor. It is a long day, timed carefully so the hours on the ground are spent on what matters most.
Flight to Cairo: Pyramids, Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum
Transfer to Luxor Airport for an early flight to Cairo. Your Egyptologist meets you on arrival and drives you to the Giza Plateau for the three pyramids, the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After lunch facing the pyramids, explore the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Tutankhamun galleries. In the evening, transfer to Cairo Airport for your flight back to Luxor and a private transfer to your hotel, arriving late in the evening.
