The Valley of the Queens Medinet Habu Tour is the West Bank for travellers who have seen the famous sites, or prefer them without the crowds.
In the Valley of the Queens, your Egyptologist takes you into the painted tombs of royal wives and princes, such as the sons of Ramesses III, whose colours are among the freshest in Egypt. The tomb of Queen Nefertari can be added only when it is open to visitors, with its own ticket.
Medinet Habu, the temple of Ramesses III, is one of the best preserved in Egypt, with deep-cut reliefs of his battles against the Sea Peoples and ceilings that still keep their blue. The day ends at the Ramesseum, the temple of Ramesses II, where a fallen colossus inspired Shelley's poem Ozymandias.
Valley of the Queens, Medinet Habu & the Ramesseum
Your Egyptologist meets you at your hotel and crosses to the West Bank. Visit tombs in the Valley of the Queens, then explore Medinet Habu, the temple of Ramesses III, with its battle reliefs and painted halls. Finish at the Ramesseum to see the fallen colossus of Ramesses II and the remains of his temple before returning to your hotel. The workers' village of Deir el-Medina can be added on request.

Is Nefertari's tomb part of the Valley of the Queens Medinet Habu Tour?
It is not included by default. Nefertari's tomb has its own ticket and is not always open to visitors, so we confirm availability for your date.
Is this tour good for a second day in Luxor?
Yes. It is ideal after the Valley of the Kings and Karnak, and much quieter.
Can we add Deir el-Medina?
Yes. The village of the royal tomb builders and their small painted tombs can be added to the same morning.
