Winter sun with real substance: private Egyptologist-led journeys through the Pyramids, Luxor, Aswan and the Nile, planned around your dates.
When an Irish winter drags on, Egypt is one of the few places where you can trade grey skies for warm, dry days and still come home having seen something extraordinary. Egypt holidays from Ireland are not a beach week, they are a journey through five thousand years of history.
Egypt is only two hours ahead of Ireland, so there is no real jet lag to speak of. You can land in Cairo, rest properly and be standing at the Pyramids the next morning, fully awake.
Every journey below is private. You travel with your own Egyptologist, stay in five-star hotels and cruise the Nile in comfort. Hamdy Haggag plans each itinerary personally and replies to messages himself.

Most Irish travellers connect through a European or Gulf hub on the way to Cairo, which usually makes for 8 to 10 hours of travel. Schedules and any direct services change from season to season, so check current options when you book.
We recommend landing in the morning or arriving a day early. We arrange airport assistance and a private transfer, so you are met at the gate and taken straight to your hotel.
The Egyptian cool season runs from October to April, with warm, dry days that suit Luxor and Aswan. For Irish families the school calendar fits this window well: the October and February mid-term breaks, Christmas and Easter all fall within or close to it.
Those dates are popular, and Nile cruises and the best hotels fill early. For Christmas or Easter we suggest planning at least four to six months ahead.
From June to August Upper Egypt is very hot. If summer is the only option, we shape the days around early starts and cool, restful afternoons.
Most visitors need a visa for Egypt, and the rules and fees change. Check the current requirements for your Irish passport on visa2egypt.gov.eg before you travel. We are happy to guide you.
Prices are quoted in US dollars. We arrange hotels, transfers, internal flights, entrance fees and guides, and we explain tipping clearly in advance so there are no surprises.
Many Irish travellers come as couples celebrating a milestone, or as families spanning three generations. Because every journey is private, we set the pace: shorter touring days, a long lunch, a quiet afternoon by the Nile.
If you have a week, we focus on Cairo and a Nile cruise. With ten to twelve days we add Abu Simbel and more time in Luxor, and we can extend to Jordan or the Red Sea.
