Travel Advisory & Health and Safety Notice
Traveling to Egypt With Confidence
Egypt welcomes millions of international visitors every year, and the destinations we feature in your journey, including Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, and the Nile itself, are among the most visited and well-established tourist regions in the country. Our team lives and works in Egypt, and we design every itinerary with the same care for your safety and comfort that we would want for our own families.
This page is intended to give you practical, honest guidance as you prepare for your trip. It is not a substitute for official government travel advisories, and we encourage every traveler to review the current guidance issued by the United States Department of State before finalizing their travel plans, particularly for the most up to date security information for your specific nationality and itinerary.
Health Guidance
Egypt does not currently require specific vaccinations for entry from the United States, though we recommend that you consult your physician or a travel health clinic several weeks before departure, as recommendations can change and may depend on your personal health history and the specific regions you plan to visit.
Tap water in Egypt is not recommended for drinking. Throughout your journey, we provide and recommend sealed bottled water, which is widely available at your hotels, aboard your Nile cruise, and during sightseeing. Our guides and drivers will always ensure water is on hand during your excursions.
Egypt's climate is hot and dry for much of the year, particularly in Upper Egypt around Luxor and Aswan. We recommend lightweight, breathable clothing, sun protection, and staying well hydrated throughout the day, especially during outdoor sightseeing in the warmer months. Your itinerary is designed with this in mind, with early starts and shaded rest periods built into your days wherever possible.
We strongly recommend that every traveler arrange comprehensive travel insurance that includes medical coverage and emergency evacuation before departure, as outlined in our Booking and Payment Terms.
Safety and Security
The regions included in our itineraries, Cairo, Giza, Luxor, Aswan, and the Nile corridor, are established, closely monitored tourist areas with a consistent security presence around major sites and along tourist routes. Millions of travelers, including from the United States, the United Kingdom, and across Europe, visit these regions safely each year.
As with travel to any international destination, we recommend standard precautions, including keeping your passport and valuables secure, remaining with your guide or group during excursions, and following the guidance of your guide and driver at all times, both of whom are experienced local professionals familiar with the areas you will visit.
Our Commitment During Your Trip
From the moment you land in Egypt to the moment you depart, you will have a single point of contact with our team, available around the clock for any need or question that arises. If a situation requires attention, whether a change in plans, a health concern, or an unexpected event, we are reachable at any hour and will act immediately on your behalf.
Should regional conditions or official travel guidance change ahead of your trip, we will proactively reach out to you with relevant information and, where appropriate, work with you on adjusting your itinerary.
